Gary Stittgen, Jr is a Social Worker with a clear passion and skill set for mental health therapy. Gary earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Statistics at Loyola University of Chicago and his Master of Social Work degree at Fordham University, with the goal of helping those seeking support and assistance. Gary’s experience includes work in psychiatric hospitals, community mental health organizations and substance use clinics. His prior experience shaped him into a well-rounded and empathetic clinician so he can engage with clients to help bring about real change. Some of the issues he works with include mood disorders, anxiety, stress, behavioral issues, suicidal thinking, and personality disorders. He uses evidence-based techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness. As a Certified Yoga Instructor, he also incorporates elements of yoga into his sessions.
