Shari Jobe

Shari Jobe has a Master’s degree in counseling and development from Lamar University in Beaumont, and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville. As an LPC-Associate, she is under the supervision of Diana Kurtz, LPC-S. Shari is dedicated to meeting clients where they are and providing a safe, warm, non-judgmental space for client’s thoughts, feelings, and experiences to be heard. She has a passion to empower and support clients towards growth and healing while creating a purposeful life driven by one’s values. Her philosophy is founded on the concepts of relational attunement and psychological flexibility, emotional balance, and meaningful interactions with self and others. She works with children, teens, young adults and adult women, utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma Focused, Strengths and Attachment-based therapies and techniques to address challenges with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, domestic violence, trauma, school and behavioral challenges, life changes and transitions, relationship issues, stress management, parent coaching, and Christian Counseling.

 

Shari’s background includes 8 years working as an elementary school educator and 3 years of service in the juvenile justice system. She is also a survivor of domestic violence, passionate about impacting the lives of other survivors. She is a native Houstonian who enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and four dogs. She loves working out, ice skating, and serving those in need.
