Mia Baumgartner

MA, LPC-Associate (under the supervision of Michelle Wolf, MA, LPC-S)

Mia is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) in the State of Texas. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, where she played volleyball for the University team. She moved to Colorado for graduate school, completing a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology.
She has worked with children, teens, and adults in individual and group settings. Mia supports clients with a range of mental and emotional issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship stressors, major life or career transitions, grief and loss, self-harm, and trauma.
 
With clinical and research experience in Traumatic Brain Injury, Mia is equipped to offer support during the healing period and life after brain injury and concussion. She has experience with addiction recovery and supports those struggling with substance abuse and their loved ones with compassion and understanding. Mia practices strengths based treatment that is solution focused, and centered on mutually agreed upon goals. She utilizes a range of treatment modalities including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness techniques. As a 200 hour yoga instructor, she can also teach breath work, relaxation techniques, and meditation. Ultimately, Mia strives to create a safe and nonjudgmental environment for individuals to open up and explore their greatest potential.
