Dee has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University in Beaumont, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville.

Dee brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and skills to empower individuals struggling with mental health challenges to maximize their potential toward healing. Dee’s philosophy is to meet clients where they are in their journey in order to establish a therapeutic alliance, then work to develop a treatment and care plan to achieve the desired outcome so they can experience a better quality of life.

Dee is an active and reflective listener who utilizes Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), and Solution Focused Brief Therapy techniques to address challenges with depression, anxiety, anger, and other mood disorders. Play therapy techniques are utilized to work with children.

Dee’s background includes 20 years working in Early Childhood Intervention as a Child Development Specialist. She also has experience working with adolescents and adults. She is also fluent in Yoruba.
