Jenniesha Liz Figueroa Torres is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a passion for serving people. She has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Forensic Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico and holds a Master’s in Social Work with emphasis in direct services from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. This combination of studies and her experience help her to understand the issues impacting communities, families, and individuals. She has has provided individual and group therapy to children, teenagers, adults, elderly, and immigrant populations in residential, hospice and outpatient settings. She has experience in crisis intervention, adjustment, anger management, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem issues, behavioral issues, and interpersonal and family conflicts. She believes in empowering individuals with the necessary coping mechanisms utilizing a variety of evidence-based approaches that fulfill the individuals need to meet their goals through therapy. She is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and in the Collaborative Problem Solving Approach. Jenniesha is bilingual in English and Spanish, culturally sensitive, empathetic, and driven to guide an individual to reach their potential.
